Jessica Moss, Writer

JESSICA MOSS is a performer, writer, and producer from Toronto, Canada. She currently lives in New York City where she is a recent graduate from the Lila Acheson Wallace Playwriting program at The Juilliard School, under the direction of Marsha Norman, Chris Durang, and David Lindsay-Abaire. She is the creator/performer of solo shows 'Modern Love' (Next Stage Festival, Toronto), and 'Polly Polly' (Theatre Mischief at Toronto and Edmonton Fringe; Patron’s Pick, Best of Fringe, Ed Mirvish Award for Entrepreneurship). She is a contributing writer/performer to the collectively created 'Swoon!' (Toronto Fringe) and 'TEASE' (Crows’ Theatre East End Performance Crawl). Her full-length plays include 'Next to Him' (RBC Tarragon Emerging Playwrights Contest Shortlist, Second Prize in Herman Voaden National Playwriting Competition, Finalist for Tangent Theatre Tivoli’s NEWvember, Finalist for the SafeWord Theatre New Play Contest), 'I Will Miss You When You’re Gone', 'Cam Baby' (Toronto Fringe New Play Contest Winner 2015, Leah Ryan's FEWW finalist 2017, Weissberger finalist 2017, finalist for Premiere Stage's New Play Festival, Cayle Chernin Award Finalist), 'A Girl Lives Alone' (Winner of SafeWord Theatre New Play Contest), as well as several works in development. Her work has been developed or presented at Great Plains Theatre Conference, Roundabout Theatre, Premiere Stages, Kitchen Dog Theatre, the Toronto International Film Festival, and the Canadian Stage Festival of New Ideas and Creation, among others. She has been nominated for a Canadian Comedy award, and the Tom Hendry Emerging Playwright Competition. As an actor, she has appeared in shows with Necessary Angel/Luminato, Tarragon Theatre, SummerWorks, Sudbury Theatre Centre, the NAC, and many times at the Toronto Fringe. She produces theatre with her company, Theatre Mischief.

Meagan Harris, Director

Meagan is delighted to be returning for her third time with A Light in Dark Places. She first had the wonderful opportunity to work with Kelly at the 2019 production of Plays for Hope here in Dallas, then she the distinct honor of directing Bruce Katzman and Stephen Tobolowsky in a digital reading and now she's so happy to be back at in person! She is a theatre and film actress based in the DFW-area. A proud graduate of SMU, she enjoys working on both sides of the casting table as a director and producer, as well as an actor. In addition, she is proud to be represented by the Mary Collins Agency for film and television work. She wants to thank her friends and family who continue to support her in all her creative endeavors!

Tatiana Lucia Gantt, Phoebe

Tatiana Lucia Gantt is a bilingual Latina actress, teaching artist, and theater maker based out of Dallas, TX. She is a graduate of the University of North Texas and has had the pleasure of serving the DFW community through various artistic work with theaters such as Dallas Summer Musicals, Dallas Theater Center, Shakespeare Dallas, and many others.

Her recent work has included starring in roles such as She in Sweetpea (Second Thought Theatre), Lydia Bennet in Pride and Prejudice (Shakespeare Dallas), Ana in Real Women Have Curves (Dallas Theatre Center) and Quetzacoatl in Lucha Teotl (Prism Movement Theater). She is represented by Kim Dawson Agency.

Kelly O’Malley, Marina

Kelly O’Malley is a Los Angeles based actress from Frisco, Texas. She studied acting at the Stella Adler Academy of Acting & Theatre - Los Angeles after graduating from Southern Methodist University with a double major in Religious Studies and Film & Media Arts. Kelly recently had roles on the stage in the World Premieres of Isaac Babel and the Black Sea by Timothy McNeil (Anything) and Time is Love, written and directed by prominent English playwright Che Walker (Been So Long). Kelly is also the creator of A Light in Dark Places.
