Darrell Larsen, Director

Darrell Larson is an actor, director, and poet.

Best known for playing Coyote in Murray Mednick’s epic seven play THE COYOTE CYCLE. Originally produced at the Padua Playwright’s Workshop and Festival, from 1977 to 1984, eventually the cycle was performed in outdoor settings, from dusk to dawn, in Los Angeles, San

Francisco, Santa Fe and Martha’s Vineyard. He directed Mednick’s ARE YOU LOOKIN’, starring Ed Harris (LA). He has directed eight plays by Sam Shepard: COWBOY MOUTH (also starring Ed Harris), MAD DOG BLUES (LA), SIMPATICO (Florida Shakespeare, also acting), THE SAD LAMENT OF PECOS BILL ON THE EVE OF KILLING HIS WIFE (NY), KILLER’S HEAD (NY and LA), THE UNSEEN HAND (LA). Besides Shepard, he directed his own adaptations of Bob Dylan’s TARANTULA, two plays by Denis Johnson: PSYCHOS NEVER DREAM (SF) and SHOPPERS CARRIED BY ESCALATORS INTO THE FLAMES (NY), and Steve Earle’s KARLA (Nashville).

Other stage acting credits include Shepard’s CURSE OF THE STARVING CLASS (NY), the Captain in Strindberg’s DANCE OF DEATH, Rip Van Winkle in RIP AWAKES, (both at the Odyssey, LA).

In film he stars as the doomed Pete in MIKE’S MURDER, directed by James Bridges, opposite Debra Winger. Other films include TWICE IN A LIFETIME, MEN AT WORK, STEPMOM, THE MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE, and more.

Carlo Figlio, Bobo

Carlo Figlio is delighted to perform for A Light in Dark Places for the third time! He is an alumni of the Stella Adler Academy of Acting and the California Institute of the Arts BFA Acting Program. Previous credits include: Nervous Unicorns (Stanley’s Icarus), The Glass Menagerie (Stella Adler Lab), Los Empeños de Una Casa (Bilingual Foundation of the Arts), The Romantics (Classical Theatre Lab), Crystal and Dustin (ALIDP), Twelfth Night (Project Nongenue), The Last Days of Don Juan (CTL), What’d You Think? Caitlin Duffy, Feathers

Caitlin Duffy is very grateful to be a part of A Light in Dark Places this year. Theater: A Noise Within (understudy), Trinity Repertory Company, Northern Stage, PTP/NYC, The Williams Project, Palm Beach Dramaworks. TV/Film: Good Trouble, S.W.A.T., Bel-Air, 911: Lone Star, Trigger Happy, First Contact, The Tomorrow Job. Caitlin was also fortunate to collaborate with loved ones to create her own short film about a clown who goes on a big adventure to the unknown. Caitlin received her BA from Middlebury College and her MFA from Brown/Trinity Rep. Thank you to the ADLIP team, and thank YOU for being here! Spring will come.
